MIAMI, 22 September 2022: Regatta Park will host North America’s largest electric vehicle (EV) festival, Electrify Expo, on October 8 and 9.

Outdoor event

The outdoor event gives attendees the chance to test-drive and try-before-they-buy hundreds of the top EV mobility companies from around the world, including electric cars, e-bikes, e-motorcycles, e-skateboards, e-scooters, electric watercraft, and more.

In a recent Bloomberg analysis, EV sales recently crossed the five percent threshold in the US, signaling the beginning of mass EV adoption. Florida leads the Southeast with a six percent EV market share in Q2 2022.

Despite the fact that the United States still has a long way to go before meeting its goal of a 40 percent reduction in carbon emissions, Florida is leading the way with the second-highest number of electric vehicle registrations nationwide and one of the largest investments in EV infrastructure in the Southeast, according to the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.

Behind the Wheel experience

Nearly 1 million square feet of display space, test drives, and information about EV technology and charging will be available to visitors of the Electrify Expo at Regatta Park. On-site manufacturers include BMW, Lucid, Toyota, Kia, Polestar, Volvo, Volkswagen, and Harley- Davidson’s Livewire.

Numerous additional e-bike manufacturers, like Specialized and Aventon, have displays and demos available. There are numerous courses available for one-wheel, two-wheel, three-wheel, and the newest battery-powered watercraft, giving participants a taste of what it’s like to go electric.

The festival is kid-friendly and offers a Hover-1 Kids Zone with rides for young people in Magic City.
