FLORIDA, 29 June 2023: Blink Charging Co, owner, operator and provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment and services, has announced plans to expand EV charging accessibility by incorporating the North America Charging Standard (NACS) into its entire product line.
North America Charging Standard (NACS)
NACS is a new charging standard that is being adopted by a growing number of automakers, including GM, Ford, Rivian, and Volvo. Blink’s decision to incorporate NACS into its chargers will make it easier for EV drivers of these brands to find and use Blink chargers.
In addition to NACS, Blink chargers will continue to support the Combined Charging System (CCS), which is the most common EV charging standard in the United States. By supporting both NACS and CCS, Blink is committed to providing EV drivers with the most convenient and accessible charging experience possible.
Blink is also well-positioned to meet the growing demand for EV chargers. The company has plans to build additional US manufacturing facilities, which will help it to produce more chargers domestically. This is important because the Biden Administration’s Buy America program requires that a certain percentage of EV chargers be manufactured in the United States.
