MUMBAI, 16 August 2023: Mahindra & Mahindra has made a significant leap towards sustainability by unveiling the Thar EV concept at an event held in South Africa. This groundbreaking concept, named Thar.e, marks Mahindra’s foray into the electric off-road vehicle domain and is poised for a potential launch in 2025.
Radically Revamped Design
The Thar EV concept boasts a design that sets it apart from its conventional counterpart available in the Indian market. The front fascia showcases squared-out LED headlamps with rounded corners, a robust steel front bumper, and sizable alloy wheels paired with pronounced wheel arches. The rear of the SUV features square LED taillamps and an integrated spare wheel mounted on the tailgate.
Immersive Interior Experience
Inside the cabin, the Thar EV promises an immersive experience enhanced by a repertoire of 75 distinct sounds that accompany various actions – from opening the door to engaging different drive modes. Driving the Thar EV’s capabilities is a robust electric powertrain.
