Germany-based LION Smart, a battery pack manufacturer and subsidiary of Switzerland’s LION E-Mobility, has formed a development partnership with hofer powertrain, a drivetrain systems company headquartered in Germany, according to a 27 March press release from LION Smart.
The companies aim to industrialise immersion-cooled battery systems and speed up the launch of small production runs, the release said.
hofer powertrain will provide design, validation and customer-specific integration services. LION Smart will contribute its modular battery platforms and cooling technology, the report added.
