UNITED KINGDOM, 27 October 2022: Andersen EV, a luxury company that manufactures EV home charging points, has been acquired by British home EV charge point manufacturer EVIOS.

Coexistence of both brands

The EVIOS administration has made it clear that the two brands will coexist, catering to various segments of the EV market and gaining from joint investments in technology, installation personnel, and customer support.

All relevant customer support services will be amalgamated with the current business at the EVIOS headquarters in Bedfordshire as production of Andersen units resumes right away. EVIOS’s in-house installation crew, which offers complete national coverage, will complete installations.

EVIOS will honour any remaining product warranties and provide complete support to Andersen’s current UK customers. EVIOS, which prioritises the interests of its customers, has also declared that it will complete more than 200 outstanding product orders, continue to run Andersen-ev.com and the Konnect+ app, which enables Andersen users manage, modify, and report on their charging activity.

Porsche & Jaguar’s Choice

The A2 product from Andersen is famous for its slender profile, high-end finish, and simple design, which enable it to discretely integrate with its surroundings.

Porsche GB and Jaguar Land Rover in the UK have chosen Andersen as a preferred installation and supplier, respectively. Since its debut in 2015, the brand has gained enormous popularity among discriminating EV drivers because to its high-end features and appearance.

Thanks to extended customer service hours (including Saturdays) and its own network of specialised installers across the UK, EVIOS is well-positioned to continue servicing Andersen’s stores and its clientele.

EVIOS business profile

David Martell, the former CEO of Chargemaster, which was acquired by BP in 2018 and is now known as BP Pulse, introduced EVIOS in April of this year. EVIOS is on course for quick growth with USD 5.8m in funding secured from investors so far, a solid supply chain in place, and expanding order books. With plans to introduce a second business unit, the EVIOS Two, in 2023, it is now rolling out its first unit, the EVIOS One, to UK clients.

Comment

“Andersen’s design-led positioning complements our leadership in technology and functionality, and running both brands in parallel will help us to serve an even broader range of customers,” said David Martell, EVIOS Chief Executive.

“The EVIOS One provides intuitive and intelligent home charging for the mainstream while the Andersen charge point serves premium buyers attracted to design and aesthetics,” Martell continued.
