GUJARAT, 07 November 2022: Vendors are being sought by IOCL to provide EV charging stations at various sites across the country. The company has awarded Tirex Transmission Pvt Ltd a contract to provide EV chargers at retail locations.
The world is gradually becoming more aware of climate change and its negative impacts. The situation is already alarming, so it is imperative that appropriate action be taken. The biggest contributor to the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere is fossil fuels. Because of this, people all over the world—including India—are gravitating toward electric cars (EV).
Arth Patel, the company’s CEO, has confirmed that with winning this contract, Tirex will be able to sell chargers totaling 30MW PAN India.
Tirex will provide the IOCL project with twenty-five (25) DC fast chargers of various capacities with connecter CCS2. This will enable the simultaneous charging of multiple vehicles utilising pooled electricity.
As a result, there won’t be as many long lines at the EV charging stations. These chargers will work with the majority of modern electric automobiles that are sold in India.
NTPC, KSEBL, Power Grid, Ashok Leyland, Fortum, Olectra, Adani, and many other prestigious companies have received EV chargers from Tirex. They won the contract from HPCL for more than one hundred EV chargers by offering their excellent product quality and affordable pricing.
Future of EV’s in India
The one and only problem that purchasers are most concerned about is the lack of EV charging outlets in India. In this transformation, a reliable infrastructure for EV charging will be absolutely essential.
The future of EVs in India will largely depend on having a good infrastructure for charging them. The Indian government has acknowledged that combating climate change is urgently necessary.
As a result, the project to install EV charging stations by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is one of many initiatives and programmes of the Government of India to encourage people to transition to an electric car.
