SYDNEY, 8 July 2023: CIMIC’s Sedgman, a leading minerals processing company, has acquired Novopro Projects Inc, a Canadian engineering and metallurgy company that specializes in lithium processing.
The acquisition will give Sedgman access to Novopro’s expertise in lithium processing technology, which is in high demand as the global demand for lithium batteries and electric vehicles increases.
Novopro has a long history of providing engineering and project management services to the minerals processing industry. The company has a strong track record of success in developing and optimizing lithium processing projects, and its expertise will be a valuable asset to Sedgman.
The acquisition of Novopro will also expand Sedgman’s geographic reach. Novopro has a presence in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Australia, which will give Sedgman a wider range of customers and opportunities.
The acquisition of Novopro is expected to close in the third quarter of 2023.
