In a move that builds upon Stellantis’ USD 75m investment in Factorial in 2021, the companies plan to introduce these cutting-edge batteries in a fleet of Dodge Charger Daytona EVs by 2026. This step aligns with Stellantis’ electrification strategy, advancing the future of high-performance, cost-effective electric vehicles.
Stellantis and Factorial’s Solid-State Battery Innovation
Stellantis’ decision to utilize Factorial’s FEST solid-state battery technology in its EVs reflects a strategic push toward high-density energy solutions. These batteries, with an impressive energy density of over 390 Wh/kg, are designed to offer notable benefits over traditional lithium-ion batteries, including higher energy efficiency, reduced weight, and lower overall costs.
